Lucy Wray

Lucy Wray is a Director, dramaturg, and theatre maker of devised and scripted new writing.

She is currently Resident Director at the Almeida Theatre.

For the New Diorama 2018 Season she is directing Left My Desk (Lost Watch) http://www.newdiorama.com/whats-on/left-my-desk

As a companion piece to the play, Lucy also directed the short film, Left My Desk, which is being screened in the theatre on selected nights after the show.

Lucy is a Script Reader for the National Theatre and for Mammoth Screen.

Lucy Wray is Associate Director with METIS (We Know Not What We May Be dir. Zoe Svendsen, Barbican) (World Factory dir. Zoe Svendsen & Simon Daw, Young Vic/New Wolsey).

She is co-Artistic Director of Populace, a theatre company set up in response to anti-cuts protests in March 2011. With Populace, Lucy has performed work at the Bush, West Yorkshire Playhouse, Theatre Royal Stratford East, Lyric Hammersmith, Ovalhouse and Rich Mix.

She collaborates with writer and performer Jessica Barker-Wren as MACAW.

Lucy Wray trained at Oxford School of Drama and has a degree in English Language & Literature.
